Businesses - 3Rings

Your partner account is the top of the tree. Every business you serve is a sub-account under it — an isolated set of books with its own chart of accounts, journals and statements. Data never crosses between businesses.

Creating a business

Create a business with its country and base currency. The optional industry picks the chart-of-accounts template used when you provision accounts.

Your own identifiers

Pass externalId to tie a business to the identifier in your own system. It is returned on the business record so you can reconcile without storing our IDs separately.

The base currency fixes the currency the books are kept in. Journals in other currencies are converted at post time (multi-currency support is on the roadmap).
